
Contracted, for eight months in 2003, to examine the current organisational structure
of the ACS and compare it to best practice in similar organisations.
Document desired state. Investigate internal culture and define "as is"
state. Conduct gap analysis between ''as is'' and ''desired'' state.
Document change process and high level risk analysis. Document internal
communication strategy for change.
Tasks included:

Conducting an investigation into the ACS
current operational model including discussions with all branches as well as
reviewing surveys, plans, recommendations and meetings documented over the last
ten years.

Reviewing the operations of other Societies,
and researching global workplace trends, and comparing them to current practices
within the ACS.

Creating a graphic representation of the
proposed model and providing definitions of the proposed terminology.
·
Tabling the consequences of both the current
and future situations and validating the recommended model will address the
reasons for change.
·
Providing a broad implementation design.
·
Documenting governance requirements and
reviewing the existing rules and regulations of the Society.
·
The construction of a detailed change
management plan and a communication schedule devised in concert with the phases
of implementation.
